Rotary E-Club Southern Africa of D9400 celebrate International Women’s Day

The first-ever Women’s Day was established in 1909 and now, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, let’s continue to tell the stories of women on whose shoulders we stood.  Let’s not forget to mentor and take the girls along with us and support their incredible journeys.  This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias which focuses on creating a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination, and creating gender equality in workplaces, communities, schools and more.
The 8th of March was a beautiful day at the Wanderers Club,  filled with mentoring, wisdom, laughter and dedicated empowerment of young women on the International Women’s Day Mentoring event, hosted by Rotary E-Club Southern Africa of D9400.

The event served various entrepreneurs with the space to network and learn from some of our countries’ most successful women in business.
In the heart of paying it forward, the event also raised over R23 000 toward the launch of the Mental Health programme of the Rotary E-Club Southern Africa of D9400.  The first project aiming to serve schools in South Africa with a Roadshow and Mentorship intervention around identifying and dealing through anxiety in children.
